The library is situated on the first floor in a separate building adjacent to the main building. The membership is open
to all students and staff. The library has a collection of more than 23,000 volumes comprising of reference books,
textbooks, bound journals, government publications, standards, syllabus, University papers, etc. Forty national and
ninety international journals are subscribed annually. Fifteen daily newspapers are provided and the library also has
a growing collection of CD-ROMs. Our collection includes latest edition of Mc-Graw Hill Scientific Encyclopedia, all
journals published by Indian Academy of Sciences, SAE (USA), most publications of IEEE (USA). Students can
access a variety of e-journals like IEL (IEEE Journal Online 330 journals) and Elsevier's Science Direct (215
Journals).
In addition searching facility to a variety of databases like Cambridge Dictionaries Online, Networked
Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, Urdu Manuscripts, South Asia Resources Access on internet (SARAI),
Engg. & Technology e-journals: Table of contents GISTNIC Databases, US patents, Full Text, etc. A well stocked
Book Bank scheme functions for the general students and one exclusively for the SC/ST students totally sponsored
by the Welfare Department, Maharashtra Government. Separate reading places are provided for students and staff.
In addition to the main Library, Departmental Libraries are also functioning. Reference and data books, current
journals, etc. are provided in all Departments for ready reference by students and staff. The Library is having
institutional membership with IIT Bombay Library and DELNET, New Delhi and INDEST-AICTE Consortium.
Hundreds of students are utilizing these facilities every year. Inter Library Loan (ILL) of books and journal articles are
possible from over 1100 libraries in India and abroad through DELNET.
Library is fully computerized by SLIM (System for Library and Information Management) software; developed by
Algorithms consulting services, Pune. SLIM is integrated, multi user, multi tasking library information software for
windows environment. This software helps us to catalogue the collection as per the international standards, tracks
the receipt of journals, procurement of books and putting the library information on internet / intranet, bar coded
circulation system, etc.
