The department has students Chapter of IEEE established in 1999. Mission Statement: IEEE's core purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. Vision Statement: IEEE will be essential to the global technical community and to technical professionals everywhere, and be universally recognized for the contributions of technology and of technical professionals in improving global conditions. IEEE and its members inspire a global community to innovate for a better tomorrow through its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is the trusted "voice" for engineering, computing and technology information around the globe. Different events/ seminars/ industrial visits were organized under the banner of IEEE MHSS. The students got acquainted to the various manufacturing techniques which immensely helped them. The students were acquainted to the various manufacturing processes involved in making the cable wires. The IV proved to be of a great help to the students to apply the theoretical concepts learned as part of the curriculum.
